First, you need to activate your free UT email address, which is the official means of communication between you and the university. Check this account often for important updates about housing, orientation, course registration, and much more.
- Log into your VIP account to get your student ID and NetID. Your NetID is your university username.
- Once you have your NetID, visit utk.edu/setup to set up your password.
- With your NetID and password, you can log into MyUTK, where you will activate your UT email address (Volmail). Visit the Volmail Setup website if you have questions about activating your UT email.
