Do you dream of Big Orange and Big Ideas? Does the phrase “Top 25 public research university” make you want to press the submit button for your online application? Is your nickname scholarships? When you’re a prospective honors student, UT has a lot to offer you.
We invite high school seniors who have had their ACT, SAT, or PSAT scores sent to UT or those who have allowed the testing agencies to sell their scores and contact information to us. General criteria for invitations are a 31 or higher ACT composite, a 1360 or higher old SAT composite (CR+M), a 1420 or higher new SAT composite (ERW+M) or 200 PSAT. Invitations are sent in September, and you can register through the invitation link on your Vol in Progress (VIP) page.
At the invitational, you’ll hear about the campus experience from our students, information about experience learning, honors and scholars programs, study abroad, and leadership and service opportunities. After our admissions/scholarships/housing Q&A session, stay for lunch, and then go to meetings with academic advisors and faculty in the college that interests you. After that, you can take an optional brief tour of the heart of the campus or head out on your own with our handy campus map. For a full schedule, please see the schedule at the bottom of the page.
Each program will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Hollingsworth Auditorium. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. An e-mail with additional information will be sent to participants four days before each date.
There is limited space available at our Scholars Invitational events, so we encourage you to register early.
