When asked what I love most about coming to the University of Tennessee, I always respond by saying “the community.”  People from the north might call it our southern hospitality, or others might say it’s the tradition, but I cherish most that the University of Tennessee creates a community where you truly are proud to be a VOL. Although I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, the university open doors to a world I could’ve never imagined. Communities are places where people reside, thrive, and have something in common.  The UT community is one of academic challenge, spirited enthusiasm, ongoing service and leadership, and diverse experiences for a unified student body. I enjoy showcasing the institution to prospective students  because when they have the chance to visit Rocky Top, they see why we call our beloved Big Orange Country home sweet home!
