My hometown is...
Savannah, TN

How long have I been at UT?
I spent my first four years at Tennessee as an undergraduate student and I have been working in Undergraduate Admissions for two years.

My favorite thing about being an Assistant Director at Tennessee...
I enjoy interacting with prospective students and their families. Every family has a different story, a different background, and different concerns. I look forward to serving as a resource for students as they make their college decisions and I hope they will continue to use me as a resource once they become UT students.

My favorite UT campus tradition...
Torch Night. During the ceremony, the seniors pass the “Torch of Preparation” to new students. It was first held in 1925 and had continued ever since.

My favorite UT website...
I am usually on the road traveling to high schools in Tennessee and out of state, so the best way for me to keep up with what is going on at UT is thru the Daily Beacon, the student newspaper. They have it updated daily and I can catch up with everything back on campus

Knoxville “Must Do and/or See” Locations
It would have to be World’s Fair Park. Knoxville hosted the Worlds Fair in 1982 and the area around where the event was held and pretty neat. There are always people taking advantage of the huge park area and children are always playing the in the fountains in the park.

What makes UT such a great place?
The opportunities available at UT are endless. UT offers great programs, classes, and a strong academic reputation for every student on campus. There are so many great universities across the state and the nation, but you will not find the total student experience anywhere else like UT.
