My hometown is...
Franklin, TN
How long have I been at UT?
3 years as an undergraduate (I was a Transfer student) and now I’m in my first year as an Admissions Counselor.
My favorite thing about being an Admissions Counselor at Tennessee...
I love recruiting high school students and showing them how amazing a university UT really is. As an Admissions Counselor, I work with students on a daily basis whether in my office, on the phone, by email, or my favorite…on the road. Travelling and meeting new people may truly be my favorite part.
My favorite UT campus tradition...
The pre-game show at Neyland Stadium is unrivaled in college football. The Pride of the Southland Marching Band does an awesome job getting the crowd pumped for the game and when they open up the “T” for the players to run through, endorphins run wild. It is by far one of the greatest traditions at UT.
My favorite UT website...
For updates on what’s going on in the world of UT Athletics, I use GoVolsXtra. I’ve also found that the best way to navigate around the UT Web site is to use the A-Z Index. It’s like the Google™ of UT.
Knoxville “Must Do and/or See” Locations
Copper Cellar. Calhouns. Trio. Tomato Head. Downtown Grill and Brewery. Louis Original Drive In. Ye Olde Steakhouse. Chandler’s Deli. King Tut’s Grill. Soccer Taco.
Knoxville has more restaurants per capita than any city in the United States, so these are just a few of the local selections without which your UT experience just would not be complete.
What I do in my "free" time...
I’m a baseball nut (Go Braves!) so I spend a lot of time watching them play. I’m also a basketball, football, and soccer fan. I utilize Netflix more than is probably healthy which implies my love of movies and TV. I also love spending time hiking in the Smoky Mountains.
What makes UT such a great place?
The best part about UT is the sense of family and place that we all have here. The university community is so diverse and welcoming that everyone can find their niche. And, of course, there’s an incredible amount of spirit and tradition. The color orange is our red, white, and blue!
