My favorite thing about being Assistant Director of Admissions...
Watching students go from prospective students, to student leaders at UT, to college graduates.  Working in the Visitors' Center, I am able to see prospective students come in many very unsure and quiet...and then I see them transformed with excitement and thrill from their future at UT.  It's truly a remarkable transformation!

My favorite UT campus tradition...
Homecoming.  This is a time for current students to show their school spirit; while alumni can come back and visit the place they call their second home.  Spending a Saturday afternoon at Neyland Stadium is always amazing, especially when you have all the Homecoming activities!  Parades, VolWalk, Crowning of Miss Homecoming, Window Displays, Banners, and Smokey's Howl.  It is truly an unforgettable experience!

My favorite UT website...
UT Search Help.  I use it all the time.  Whenever I can't find something or someone on the UT website, I know I can go to the search engine and find it.  Whether it's an old story from the Daily Beacon, a website for a student organization, or information on a one-time seminar, I know I can find what I need there.  The Search Engine is a fantastic resource that I use at least twice a day.

Knoxville “Must Do and/or See” Locations
Old City and Market Square.  It’s an eclectic mix of music, food, and fun.  There is always something going on in downtown Knoxville.  It’s always fun and different, and always fun to explore!  Whether you like folk music, punk music, rap, or country...you'll find something there you enjoy!  And there are some of the best and most delicious places to go for lunch/dinner, too!

What I do in my "free" time...
I love to travel.  My husband and I have traveled all over Europe and the United States.  We are planning an extended visit to Africa and China in the next few years.  I am a travel fanatic.  I love seeing and experiencing new cultures and places.  I am also a huge Red Sox fan.  Having spent the majority of my childhood near Boston, I bleed Orange, but during Baseball Season, it turns Red.

What makes UT such a great place?
There is truly something here for everyone.  With so many outstanding programs, you can find your passion and live it fully for your whole life.   Whether you want to be a teacher, a social worker, a politician, or a doctor, UT can give you the education and experience you need to make your dreams come true.
