• Rec Sports programs and facilities involve three quarters of the student population. • Opportunities for competition, fitness conditioning, skill building, stress release, and socializing attract men and women to over 20 intramural sports leagues, the aquatic center, the bubble, the HPER gyms and courts, Stokley Athletic Center, and the pools. • Ground was broken in Fall 1999 for a new student recreation complex. The facility will house four gymnasia, a walking/jogging track, racquetball courts, a 17,000 square foot fitness center, studios for aerobics/martial arts, an outdoor recreation center, a wellness/physical center, and much more. The projected opening date is Spring 2002. |
