Whether we host you or you visit on your own, there are several ways for you to get to know UT. You can learn what it’s like to be a student, have meetings with our faculty and advisors, and become familiar with campus facilities and services. We also invite select students and their families to visit campus, based on academic performance.
Register for a Campus Tour
Register for a campus tour through your Vol in Progress (VIP) account at VIP.utk.edu. Let us know if you need help with your log in information by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can’t wait to meet you and show you around!
Campus Visit Program
Campus Connections is an optional academic showcase you can schedule to take place during your Campus Visit Program. Throughout the week, UT academic colleges host prospective students and arrange advisor appointments, building tours, or visits they coordinate individually.
For High School Students
We hold Open House each fall so high school seniors can hear about the campus experience from our students, take a tour of campus, visit a suite-style residence hall, and come to our campus fair for information about academic programs, student support services, and organizations.
This program gives high school students of any year a sample of the UT student experience. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions hosts you and your family on selected Saturdays for Volunteer Days, a program that showcases campus with an information session and a campus tour.
Prospective honors students and your families are invited to a Scholars Invitational in the fall. The event includes academic showcases; presentations and lunches with honors students; parent lunches with UT faculty, staff, and advisors; an extensive browse session; and special sessions on studying abroad and majoring in a health profession track.
We provide the info so you can take a self-guided tour of campus if you can’t make it to one of our regular tours.
