Join us and create your very own Rocky Top experience. Choose from special interest sessions, tour the campus, and see what Big Orange Country is all about!

Description
Our spring open house event is a great opportunity to find out more about what UT has to offer to its students. Attend one of the special interest sessions, take a tour of our campus, visit with academic colleges, and meet other future Vols. We can’t wait to see you here!

Parking

Parking will be in the Staff Lot 30 located behind the Student Service Building and around Andy Holt Tower. Enter the parking area from Lake Loudoun Blvd. For GPS, enter the address Andy Holt Tower, Knoxville, TN 37916. Directional signage will be displayed to help you along.

Check-in

Check-in will be available at Circle Park (directly behind the Torchbearer statue) beginning at 8:30am EST.

9:00 a.m. – Organizational & College Browse Session
Visit with representatives from almost 40 colleges, departments, and campus organizations.

10:00 a.m. – Welcome Session
Hear from Admissions & Enrollment Services about our amazing University, learn more about the format of Big Orange Preview, and hear some heartfelt words from a current UT Senior.

11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Academic Showcases & Special Interest Sessions
You will have the opportunity to attend sessions across campus where you will hear directly from colleges and departments to get a more in-depth look at the University of Tennessee.  Faculty, staff, and students will be available to talk to you about your interests, show you academic buildings, and answer questions you may have.

These sessions will include: Campus Tours, Housing Tours, Academic Colleges, Programs Abroad, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Honors & Scholars Programs, Transfer Sessions, Tennessee Promise & Volunteer Bridge Sessions, Junior Sessions, Out of State Sessions, Financial Aid Sessions, Computer Lab Open Hours, and more!

4:00 – Program officially ends, though we hope you spend more time exploring Knoxville!

 

Directions

Follow U.S. 129 (Alcoa Highway) north to Knoxville

Take the Neyland Drive exit

Turn left onto Neyland Drive (158 South)

Turn left onto Lake Loudon Boulevard.

Continue up Lake Loudon through the intersection (at Phillip Fulmer Way)

Staff Lot 30 will be on your right after you pass Phillip Fulmer Way. (look for signs)

Walk up the stairs on the left side of the student service building. (look for signs)

Follow I-75 North/I-40 East to Exit 386B (Alcoa Highway 129)

Merge onto U.S. 129 (towards the Airport and Smoky Mountains)

Take the Neyland Drive exit

Turn left onto Lake Loudon Boulevard.

Turn left onto Lake Loudon Boulevard.
