Scholars Invitational

Three dates in 2013:
Friday, October 11
Monday, October 14
Monday, October 21

Do you dream of Big Orange and Big Ideas? Does the phrase “Top 25 public research university” make you want to press the submit button for your online application? Is your nickname scholarships? When you’re a prospective honors student, UT has a lot to offer you.

Let’s start with an invitation to visit campus in the fall and learn about our great opportunities, particularly in one of our honors programs. Invitations are sent in September, and you can register through the invitation link on your Vol in Progress (VIP) page.

We invite high school seniors who have had their ACT, SAT, or PSAT scores sent to UT or those who have allowed the testing agencies to sell their scores and contact information to us. General criteria for invitations are a 29 or higher ACT composite or a 1290 or higher SAT composite (CR+M).

There is limited space available at our Scholars Invitational events, so we encourage you to register early.

At the invitational, you’ll hear about the campus experience from our students, meet with faculty and academic advisors in your college of interest, join us for lunch, and then learn more at our academic browse session, international programs presentation, and health professions presentation. After our closing panel of experts in admissions, financial aid, and housing does a presentation, you can take an optional brief tour of the heart of the campus or strike out on your own with our handy campus map.

Registration:

Each program will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the University Center (directions below). Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. An e-mail with additional information will be sent to participants four days before each date.
