What if the tour is at capacity?
We cannot guarantee space for guests who have not pre-registered. If your party arrives at the time of the tour and there is a family that has preregistered but does not show up our team will be happy to register you as a walk-in at that time.
What if the number in my party has changed since I signed up for my tour?
If you know in advance that you are bringing more or fewer people than initially expected, please contact our team at 865-946-8687 or email@example.com. We cannot guarantee space for guests who have not pre-registered.
Where do I park for Monday through Friday tours?
There’s plenty of parking at the UT Visitors Center, 2712 Neyland Drive. Park anywhere in the main lot and come inside!
Where do I park for a Saturday Tour?
Parking is free inside of Circle Park, 1331 Circle Park Drive, as well as the lots adjacent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Whom should I contact with questions before or after my tour?

What if I have questions about admission or financial aid? Will I be able to talk to someone?
The first 30 minutes of every campus tour begin with an information session with an admissions staff member, where you’ll learn about admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, life in Knoxville, and the campus community. An admissions staff member will be available before and after each campus tour for personal questions.
How much walking will I be doing on the tour?
Campus tours walk throughout the heart of campus up for up to an hour and thirty minutes. While the University of Tennessee is a very walkable campus, we do recommend wearing comfortable shoes. If you will need special accommodations (e.g., a wheelchair) please list that on the Special Accommodations section when you register for a tour.
Will I see a classroom on the tour?
During the tour there will be an opportunity to walk through academic buildings and see classrooms through their windows. If you wish to walk inside a classroom when a lecture is not in session, we can provide a parking pass to campus for you to explore additional academic buildings.
Will we eat in a cafeteria on the tour?
Due to time constraints, food is not provided on our general campus tours. However upon arrival, prospective students are provided with a visitor’s bag that contains coupons for campus dining. You are welcome to experience Volunteer Dining locations at a discounted rate before or after your tour.
Do parents attend campus tours?
While it is not required, parent participation is highly encouraged – much of the information covered during the information session and campus tour is helpful for parents of Future Vols as well.
What happens in the case of inclement weather?
Campus tours will take place rain, shine, or snow unless the university closes. In the event that the University of Tennessee is closed for the day, you will be notified via email. Information will also be available at utk.edu/status.
Can I bring pets on my campus tour?
Although we love furry friends, we request that pets are not brought on campus tours. Service animals are always welcome.
Can I set up a campus connection to meet with a UT Athletics Coach?
Undergraduate Admissions cannot arrange appointments with athletic teams. You will need to visit utsports.com for more information on specific athletic teams. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information.
