Types of Readmission Applicants
Former Student in Good Standing
If you attended UT for at least one semester and left in good academic standing, you will be automatically readmitted when we receive your application.
Former Student on Academic Probation
If you left UT while on academic probation but didn’t get academically dismissed, you will be automatically readmitted when we receive your application.
Former Student Who Was Academically Dismissed
If you were academically dismissed from UT, please submit an application along with supporting documentation showing evidence of academic or situational changes that are relevant to your academic performance. Applications are reviewed individually for a readmission decision.
Some colleges will not readmit students to their degree programs. Check with your respective college advising center for restrictions.
Readmission Application Checklist
- Submit a Go Vols (formerly VIP) application.
- Provide the $30 readmission fee. If you would like to request a waiver, please submit the fee waiver request form.
- If you were academically dismissed from UT, please provide supporting documentation showing evidence of academic or situational changes relative to your academic performance.
- If you attended another institution prior to your application, please send a copy of your transcript to the address below so we may award you transfer credit for your completed coursework:
