First-Year Admission Deadlines

Decision Release Dates: Tennessee Early Action will be released the evening of December 4. Out-of-State Early Action will be released the evening of December 17. Regular Decision will be released the evening of March 4.

Confirmation Deadline: The confirmation deadline is May 1.

The 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will open in December 2024. The UT Knoxville FAFSA Priority Filing Date is March 3, 2025. File your FAFSA by that date! Learn more here. UT’s federal school code is 003530.

What is a completed application? A completed application includes a submitted Common App or Go Vols application, self-reported high school grades (SRAR), and self-reported standardized test scores.

For institutional scholarships: Apply by this date for regular admission and to be considered for institutional scholarships, like the Volunteer Scholarship.
