Come to Big Orange Preview to get a firsthand look at life as a Volunteer on Rocky Top. You can take tours of our 910-acre campus, peek inside campus housing, and attend information sessions with various campus organizations and academic colleges to get a good sense of what you can do on Rocky Top.

Create your own schedule to make the most of your day! Choose from campus and housing tours, special interest sessions with academic colleges, organizational browse sessions, lunch at our on-campus dining locations, and more to fit your interests and needs. We’ll also provide more information about our application and admissions process during a UT Admissions presentation to give you the rundown and answer any questions you might have about becoming a Volunteer.
Dive into campus life
Our information sessions cover a wide range of topics including financing your education, the family experience at UT, student support and success, student life & organizations, the transfer student experience, and sorority and fraternity life. These sessions are offered throughout the day so you can attend as many as you’d like! Additionally, we host both in-state and out-of-state student panels—and special sessions for admitted students—where current students share their experiences and answer your questions.
“The browse sessions showcased everything UT had to offer and allowed me to see opportunities for professional growth and involvement,” Marlon Tully, a UT Ambassador who attended Big Orange Preview with his family as an incoming student, shared. “I hadn’t experienced this at any other school’s Open House before.”
In fact, attending Big Orange Preview was a key reason he chose UT as his home.
