Submitting Final Documents

Take the next—and important—step to becoming a Vol!

After you confirm enrollment, the university needs to verify self-reported information you included on your application. Please work with your testing agency to send your official test scores, and with your high school or current institution representatives to send your final transcripts directly to UT to finalize admission and any financial aid and scholarships that may have been offered to you.

Please provide your final high school transcript by one of the following deadlines:

  • Fall 2026: August 15
  • Spring 2026: January 15

You can view the status of your verified documents and your final high school transcripts by logging into your Go Vols Portal.

Sending Final High School Transcripts

Your final high school transcript will need to come directly from your high school counselor. The high school counselors can submit final high school transcripts through one of the following ways:

University of Tennessee Undergraduate Admissions
320 Student Services Building
1331 Circle Park
Knoxville, TN 37996

*If you do not anticipate having your final high school transcript until after July 1, let us know by logging into your Go Vols Portal, navigating to the GPA & Tests tab, and complete the “Final High School Transcript Extension Request” form. This form will be available after our Regular Decision release.

Sending Institutional Transcripts

If you attended another college or university, you will also need to provide a transcript directly from that institution. Here’s how we accept official transcripts from other colleges and universities:

  • Electronically through the official electronic transmission system of the issuing institution, such as Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse.
  • Mail an official transcript in a sealed envelope directly from the issuing institution to the following address:

University of Tennessee Undergraduate Admissions
320 Student Services Building
1331 Circle Park
Knoxville, TN 37996

Sending Official Test Scores

Please request your testing agency (ACT or SAT) to send your official scores directly to our office by the deadlines listed below. This may include a monetary fee.

  • Fall: April 1
  • Spring, Summer: Before classes begin

Important Reminder: First year admissions decisions are provisional, which means they are based on the information provided in the application and Self-Reported Transcript and Academic Record System (STARS). If the official, verified scores and final high school grades UT receives later are different from what was originally included in the application, it could impact an admission status or any scholarships that were offered.

This includes things like lower grades, graduation delays, incorrect information on the STARS, or official test scores that do not match what was shared earlier.

If you find errors when uploading your report and your numbers do not match due to an incorrect data entry, email utkapplications@utk.edu.
