Final High School Transcript/Official Test Score Submission

Take the next—and important—step to becoming a Vol!

Even if you self-reported your high school transcript and/or official test scores (if applicable) through the Self-Reported Academic Report (or SRAR) during the application process, the university still needs to receive your official documents by July 1* to finalize admission and any financial aid and scholarships that may have been offered to you.
*If you won’t have your final high school transcript until after July 1, you will need to let us know by logging into your Go Vols Portal (formerly VIP Portal), navigate to the Resources tab, and fill out the form under “Final High School Transcript Information Update.”

You can view the status of your official test scores and if the university has received your final high school transcripts on your Go Vols Portal (formerly VIP Portal). You should follow-up with admissions@utk.edu to make sure the university has received your documents once they have been submitted.

Sending Final High School Transcripts

Your final high school transcript will need to come directly from your high school counselor. The high school counselors can submit final high school transcripts through one of the following ways:

Sending Official Test Scores

  • Request the ACT or SAT to send scores to our office. You can ask the applicable testing agency to send your official scores straight to us for a monetary fee.
  • Upload to your Go Vols Portal (formerly VIP Portal). If you have their official test scores, you can upload them to your Go Vols Portal. Please allow forty-eight (48) hours for us to receive them.
  • Send with final high school transcript. If the scores are available, your high school guidance counselor can attach the official test scores to your transcript so they’re bundled together when being submitted.
