    UT Access Collaborative

    UT Access Collaborative is an invitation-only program. Participants will begin their first year at another UT System campus (Chattanooga, Martin, Southern) before transferring to UT Knoxville the following fall.

    Together, the University of Tennessee System represents the state’s oldest higher education institution and preeminent public university. Each campus is distinctive while unified in our commitment to the student experience, discovery and outreach to positively impact our communities and beyond.

    What is UT Access Collaborative?

    UTAC is pathway program designed to expand admission options to students interested in enrolling at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and increase access to a UT education.

    Select students not admitted to UT Knoxville will be offered the opportunity to begin their first year at another UT System campus (Chattanooga, Martin, Southern).

    After satisfying UT Access Collaborative requirements during their freshman year, these students may transfer to UT Knoxville the following fall to complete their undergraduate study.

    The UT Access Collaborative program encourages students to utilize UT’s statewide presence to access an affordable, top-rated, educational experience through the University of Tennessee System.

    *Please note: At this time, we cannot guarantee on-campus housing for returning UT Access Collaborative students.

    Ready to join UT Access Collaborative?

    If you’ve been invited and want to participate, log into your Go Vols Portal and complete either the Pathway or Waitlist interest form by May 1, 2026. After you indicate interest, UT Knoxville will send your information to the UT System campus you selected. Keep an eye on your inbox and incoming phone calls—someone from your selected UT System school will contact you within 10-14 business days.
