As someone who was a first-generation student, my parents did not know much to help me with the college application process. I had a cousin who was constantly checking in with me from 5th grade onward to make sure I got to college. Had I not had her as an advocate, I’m not sure I would have gone to college. Knowing the power of her advocacy, I want to offer the same support to upcoming generations of college applicants. It helps that I work for a university I am proud to support! The Volunteer mindset is something I can get behind and promote 100%.
Fun Fact: I have a 3.5-4 octave vocal range. Baritone/Soprano.
