Stephanie Sieggreen

Biography

My first job as a first-generation, first-year student (that’s a lot of firsts!) in college was in an admissions office, where I connected with prospective students via phone calls. Luckily, everyone I spoke with was kind enough to let me share my enthusiasm for college life, despite interrupting their dinner time. This enthusiasm for higher education has remained a constant in my life. As a student from rural Michigan, I set off to college with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to see the world, yet I had no clue how to accomplish either goal. I fondly remember those within higher education who helped me achieve these goals. It is my hope that I can provide similar assistance to those just starting their own educational journey.

Fun Fact: I discovered the origin of apples!…thanks to reading Apples are from Kazakhstan. I am a voracious reader and love to read books about different countries from various perspectives.
