First-Year Admission Deadlines

What is a completed application? A completed application includes a submitted Common App or Go Vols application, self-reported high school grades (STARS), and self-reported standardized test scores.

Decision Release Dates: Tennessee Early Action will be released the evening of December 8. Out-of-State Early Action will be released the evening of December 15. Regular Decision will be released the evening of March 9.

Merit Scholarship Consideration: Submit self-reported test scores for merit scholarship consideration by January 15. Tests taken through December 2025 will be considered for admission and scholarship review.

Confirmation Deadline: The confirmation deadline is 11:59 p.m. ET on May 1

Proof of Lawful Presence (if applicable): Submit Proof of Lawful Presence by July 1

For institutional scholarships: Apply by this date for regular admission and to be considered for institutional scholarships, like the Volunteer Scholarship.
