The Rocky Top Transfer Program is an invitation-only program. Participants will begin their first year at Pellissippi State Community College before transferring to UT Knoxville the following fall.

What is Rocky Top Transfer?

The Rocky Top Transfer program unlocks an incredible college journey—start at Pellissippi State Community College, then enjoy guaranteed transfer admission to UT upon meeting the program requirements. This program expands admissions options to students wanting to join our Volunteer family by increasing access to a UT degree.

Select students who apply to UT as first-year applicants will be offered the opportunity to complete academic coursework at Pellissippi State Community College for one year by taking classes in-person with some hybrid flexibility.

Upon meeting the program’s minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum 24 transferable earned credit hour requirements, Rocky Top Transfer students are guaranteed transfer admission into any non-competitive program at UT for the following Fall.

Participating students may also be eligible for the Rocky Top Transfer Scholarship.

*Please note: At this time, we cannot guarantee on-campus housing for returning Rocky Top Transfer students.
