What is the Verto Vols program?

This unique international academic and co-curricular experience is designed to ensure a seamless transition from studying abroad to enrolling  at UT. Students may choose to study abroad for one semester or one year before starting at UT the following spring or fall semester. Students must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and earn 15 transferable college credit hours (semester program) or earn 24 transferable college credit hours (year program) for a successful transition to UT.
Please note: The Verto Vol semester program has very limited capacity. Once capacity is reached, students will have the opportunity to participate in the Verto Vols year-long program. At this time, we cannot guarantee on-campus housing for returning Verto Vols.

  • Travel overseas with other first-year students with the support and safety of the Verto team.
  • Earn college credit hours pre-approved by UT for your degree.
  • Prepare for college and life by meeting regularly with a mentor and faculty to help students achieve their goals.
  • Academic and hands-on experience allows students to decide if a major is right for them.
  • Learn about new cultures and give back to the local community.
