Verto Vol

Students who have been selected for the Fall 2023 first-year waitlist have the option to join the waitlist and participate in one of two pathway programs – Rocky Top Transfer and Verto Vol. By participating in Verto Vol, students will have the opportunity to spend their first semester abroad with other first-year students before starting classes on UT’s campus for the Spring 2024 semester.

What is Verto Vol?

This unique international academic and co-curricular experience is designed to ensure a seamless transition from the first semester abroad to the spring semester and beyond at UT. Students must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and earn 15 transferable college credit hours for a successful transition to UT. At this time, we cannot guarantee housing for Verto Vol students entering UT in Spring 2024.

  • Travel overseas with other first-year students during the semester, with the support and safety of the Verto team.
  • Earn 15 college credit hours pre-approved by UT for your degree.
  • Prepare for college and life by meeting regularly with a mentor and faculty to help students achieve their goals.
  • Academic and hands-on experience allows students to decide if a major is right for them.
  • Learn about new cultures and give back to the local community.

Students can choose between four amazing Verto semester locations:

  • Campus Semester in London, England
  • Campus Semester in Florence, Italy
  • Campus Semester in Prague, Czech Republic
  • Campus Semester in Seville, Spain

Each program has a wide range of academic interests that allow students to explore and learn before committing to a major at UT in the spring.

Program Cost & Financial Aid

Tuition ranges from $18,000 to $25,000 depending on the semester location, which may include room and board and meals (airfare not included). Verto offers scholarships and financial aid to offset costs. Students can apply federal aid as determined by the FAFSA to the program.
